AI Opportunity and Risk Diagnostic

AI readiness assessment

An AI readiness assessment helps founder-led and mid-market businesses decide where AI is worth using, with a fixed fee from £2,500. My AI Opportunity and Risk Diagnostic takes about two weeks and gives you a workflow map, an opportunity and risk register, and a prioritised 90-day roadmap. We examine the work, the data you can access, the value of a change and the cost of getting it wrong before committing to a build. You need a named sponsor and access to the relevant people and processes, but no finished specification. I work remotely across the UK. Book a free introductory call or send a brief describing the current process and what needs to change. Detailed diagnosis and scoping are paid work.

02

Leadership teams weighing opportunities against data access, failure costs and governance needs.

03

B2B, technology, professional-service and creative organisations with a named sponsor and access to the work.

02

What you get

01

A workflow map showing the process and decisions under review.

An opportunity and risk register covering value, data access, failure cost and governance needs.

03

A prioritised 90-day roadmap to guide the next decisions.

03

How we work

01

Define the problem

Agree the workflow or decision, the sponsor, the baseline and the evidence needed to assess it.

02

Assess the opportunity and risk

Review the process, available data, potential value and consequences of failure.

03

Set the priorities

Bring the findings into a workflow map, risk register and prioritised 90-day roadmap.

Before we start

01

What does an AI readiness assessment include?

The assessment includes a workflow map, an opportunity and risk register, and a prioritised 90-day roadmap. I review the workflows, potential value, data access, failure costs and governance needs. The purpose is to give you a basis for deciding what deserves a build before committing to implementation.

02

How long does it take, and what does it cost?

The diagnostic takes about two weeks and starts from £2,500 as a fixed fee. We agree a defined scope before work begins. The proposal states what I own, what you provide, the acceptance criteria and the handover, so the fee relates to a specific piece of work.

03

Do we need an AI strategy or a finished specification?

No, a clear problem, current process and desired change are enough to begin. You do need a sponsor who can provide access and own the result internally. Relevant people, processes and data help us assess the opportunity, while the roadmap gives the next steps an order.

04

Does the assessment include building the system?

The assessment is a diagnostic engagement with a roadmap, rather than the implementation of a workflow. An engagement can stop at strategy or continue into a separately defined build. The Governed Agentic Pilot is the implementation offer, with its own scope, evaluation, documentation and handover.
