Case-study visuals are published as evidence, not as stock. These are the terms, and how to ask for permission.

What this covers

This page covers the images published in the case studies at /work/: direct public product captures and captures of the real product interfaces with generic or synthetic information.

It does not cover client-owned work shown elsewhere, third-party logos, or any asset that names a client and remains that client's property.

The terms

All rights reserved. These images are not released under a Creative Commons or other open licence. They are published so the work can be assessed, not so it can be redistributed.

You may link to a case study page and quote from it with attribution. You may not copy, re-host, redistribute, crop, retouch, composite, resell or train on the images, and you may not present them as your own work or as evidence of work you did.

Copyright in each image belongs either to XO3D Ltd, where the image shows an XO3D product or website, or to Thomas Howcroft, where it shows independent work. Every image carries its rights holder in its structured data, so the correct owner is machine-readable per image.

Press, speaking and reference use

Reasonable requests are usually granted, quickly and at no cost. Journalists, conference organisers, awards judges and prospective clients who need an image for a write-up, a slide or a shortlist should just ask.

Say which image, where it will appear and roughly when. Permission is granted in writing per image and per use, and it is not transferable.

How to ask

Email tom@thomashowcroft.com, or use the contact page.

If an image on this site appears to include something it should not, or if you believe an image infringes your rights, use the same address and it will be reviewed and, where the concern is sound, removed.
