The full index.
The Howcroft Index is a working archive of field notes from the systems, creative and search work I do day to day. It focuses on three linked disciplines: AI systems that earn trust, creative standards that resist commoditisation, and search that creates useful signal. Company building is where those disciplines meet.
Each essay makes one argument and stays short enough to act on. New work is published when there is something worth saying, not to fill a content calendar.
